IHT commercial airtight casings can be rated for pressures to 15 psig.  The standard pressure rating is 5 psig.  Made of 10-gauge steel, the casing is die-formed for strength.  To prevent leakage, the coil is forced against the casing frame by a guide bar.  Bypass at the ends is prevented by block offs.  To seal coil connections and still permit the coil to expand and contract, a stuffing box is provided.  At the entrance end, and effective seal is made by a gasket under the 1/4 inch plate steel cover.

In special process work it is often necessary to provide a coil for handling reclaimable gases.  Other applications require measured quantities of treated air under high pressure.  For such applications IHT has available a pressure type totally encased cooling coil.
